Oliver is an associate at Lloyd Burns McInnis LLP. His developing practice focuses on insurance defence litigation. He has experience in the fields of bodily injury, property damage, occupiers' liability, municipal liability, professional liability, product liability, construction disputes, coverage issues and subrogation.

Oliver completed his law degree at Western University's Faculty of Law. As a law student, Oliver worked as a Research Assistant to Professor Thomas Telfer, concentrating on contracts, torts, bankruptcy and legal history. He also served as the co-editor-in-chief of the Western Journal of Legal Studies, and also as student editor of the Canadian Journal of Law and Jurisprudence.

Before law school, Oliver completed his Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Western University, and he also earned a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy from Ryerson University.

Oliver is an avid amateur runner. He has competed in ultramarathons throughout Ontario and in the United States.

Oliver was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019 and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
